Led by United Way Worldwide, the challenge’s key partners include the CDC Foundation and The Business Roundtable, a nonprofit comprising 182 CEOs of major U.S. companies – including Chairman Lance Fritz, who serves on its board of directors.
Union Pacific ‘adopted’ two schools, donating surplus cloth facial coverings to school districts in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and outside Fort Worth, Texas.
“This donation is a perfect example of our greater community joining together to help mitigate the spread of the virus,” said Dr. Vickie Murillo, Council Bluffs Community School District superintendent. “We are grateful to our friends at Union Pacific for recognizing the need and sharing this gift with our school community.”
